At the March meeting of the Greystones Municipal District Councillor Lourda Scott was elected as the Greystones MD representative onto the Disability and Inclusion Steering Committee ( DISC).
The two different proposals to take away some parking spaces and to waive parking fees for off street facilities both came from councillors who said they wanted.

The Municipal District of Pincher Creek continues to show its opposition to replacing the RCMP in Alberta with a provincial police force.
In March a letter outlining the district’s concerns was sent by Reeve Brian Hammond to Kacyee Madu, Alberta’s Minister of Justice and Solicitor General.

“Our council…does not support the Province of Alberta’s initiative to replace the RCMP with an Alberta provincial police force,” the letter read.
“We would like to express that we are more than satisfied with our local RCMP detachments’ level of service,” the letter said.
