An open international competition has been announced to create Poland’s new £113 million (600 million PLN) European Film Centre Camerimage (ECFC) in Toruń [Deadline: 24 March 2021]
The competition – organised by the Association of Polish Architects – invites architects to draw up concepts for a major new cultural complex which will become the permanent home of Poland’s EnergaCamerimage International Film Festival.

The project, planned to complete in 2025, will deliver a ‘modern, extraordinary’ landmark for the city close to Toruń s UNESCO-protected Old Town and something which, according to festival director Marek Żydowicz, could be recognised as ‘a masterpiece of architecture.’
