The Quebec Municipal Commission actually decided to suspend Montgomery for 390 days, but cut that down to a maximum of 120 days because a suspension of more than a year “would have the effect of discrediting the administration of justice,” administrative judge Alain R. Roy wrote in a ruling dated Monday.

Montgomery’s suspension begins Tuesday. From that point on, she will not receive any “remuneration, allowance or any other sum” from the City of Montreal or the borough, Roy wrote.
