Portugal: Festival da Canção Semi Final 2 Preview
This weekend, Portuguese broadcaster RTP will continue its three-week festival of song with the second and final semifinal of its long-running national final Festival da Canção, which will be used to choose the Portuguese representative to the Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam.
As with the first semifinal last week, a total of ten participants will take place in the second semifinal of the national final on Sunday morning, including nine artists who were invited to take part by RTP, and one selected from an open call for submissions. Of these ten, five will advance due to take place on 6 March (7 March in Australia).

EMA. However, after the cancellation of last year s Contest, broadcaster Radiotelevizija Slovenija (RTV) quickly confirmed that EMA 2020 champion Ana Soklič would be invited back to represent Slovenia again.

Portugal will kick off their search for their Eurovision 2021 act on Saturday with the first semi final of Festival da Canção. In this preview, we look at the main contenders before the two semi finals and tell you which acts have the biggest chance to go to Rotterdam.
It has to be said, we don’t know what the staging and live performances will be like. But based on the studio releases of all songs and how they have been received in the community, there seem to be five favourites in each semi final.
