Woman, 70, killed with iron rod

LAHORE : A 70-year-old woman was killed in a house in Safanwala Chowk Mozang area on Saturday.
The accused hit the old woman identified as Jameela Bibi on the head with an iron rod, resulting into her death. Her body was shifted to the morgue by Edhi ambulance.

ISLAMABAD:
The National Commission on the Rights of the Child (NCRC ) organised a meeting with parliamentarians on the health hazards of sugar-sweetened beverages among adolescents and children in the country.
According to a press release issued on Wednesday, the advocacy meeting was attended by National Heart Association (PANAH) President Maj Gen(retd) Masudur Rehman Kiani, NCRC Chairperson Afshan Tehseen, General Secretary Ch. Sanaullah Ghumman, Consultant Food Policy Programme Munawar Husain, and Parliamentary Secretary Health Dr Nosheen Hamid and others.
