SWD to issue ‘first ever’ certificate for big cats lovers
Owner will have to meet 33 conditions of Sindh Wildlife Protection Act

The Sindh Wildlife Department (SWD), in compliance with a Sindh High Court order, will be issuing the first ever certificate for the lawful possession of big cats in the province to a citizen, Zohaib Ali, The Express Tribune learnt on Wednesday.
On August 13 last year, lions, possessed by Ali, were spotted freely roaming in a walled compound in Gulshan-e-Hadeed. The sighting had created panic among the residents of Gulshan-e-Hadeed and Gulshan-e-Muazzam, who had called SWD officials to the site.

Two men have been arrested for planting explosive outside a Karachi restaurant, Deputy Inspector General of Counter Terrorism Omar Shahid Hamid has said.
The Bomb Disposal Squad defused the bomb planted on a motorcycle near Jheel Park off Karachiâs Tariq Road on April 12.
The men were identified as Mumtaz Soomro and Javed Mangrio. The police said they belong to a banned organisation named Sindh Republic Army.

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed on Tuesday to have arrested two members of separatist outfit Sindh Revolutionary Army (SRA), maintaining that one of them planned to explode the vehicle of a restaurant owner using a magnetic device.
CTD DIG Omar Shahid Hamid announced the arrests during a press conference at his office. He said one of the arrested men, Mumtaz Soomro, was nabbed in a joint operation with the Rangers and an intelligence agency at Tariq Road.
