(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Some unknown gunmen killed a family of 6 in a mosque at the weekend at wasinmi village ikire , osun state, while one person sustained bullet wound
The Chairman, Committee on Peaceful Co-Existence between Fulani/Bororo and Crop Farmers in Osun State, Mr. Oguntola Toogun, confirmed the incident
He said: “The deceased are Alhaji Yaya Momodu (grandfather), Alhaja Adamo Yaya (wife), Alhaja Awawu Yaya (wife), Mumini Ibrahim, Mumini Abdulahi and Moriamo Ibrahim (grandchildren).
Oguntola, who yesterday led the state government delegate to Ilorin in Kwara State for the burial of the victims, said that the three grandchildren were buried at the Muslim burial ground in Ilorin, while the grandfather and his two wives were buried beside the mosque on the estate owned by the grandfather.
Gunmen rained bullets on the six family members killed over the weekend at Wasinmi village, Ikire in the Irewole Local Government Area of Osun State inside the mosque, newsmen reports.

At least eight Fulanis were allegedly killed in the early hours of Sunday, in an attack by a vigilante group at Wasinmi village, in Irewolede local government area of Osun State.
Reports reaching DAILY POST indicates that an attack was carried out on the village at about 2am on Sunday.
Those reportedly killed were identified as Alhaji Samo Wasinmi, head of the family, Alhaja Belu, Alhaja Waso, Alhaja Adamo, Maryam Ibrahim, Alhaji Yahaya Muhammed, Mumini Ibrahim and Mumini Abdullahi.
Unconfirmed reports also said they were matched into a mosque in the village and shot at close range.
