The new development has pushed the death toll from the virus outbreak to 384.
Department of Government Information said one of the victims is a 63-year-old man from Kotagala area. He had been transferred to the Nuwara-Eliya District Hospital from Kotagala Hospital after testing positive for the virus. He fell victim to acute Covid-19 pneumonia on February 09.
The second victim, identified as a 79-year-old man from Matugama area, had passed away yesterday (February 11) at the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital. He was transferred from Nagoda General Hospital in Kalutara upon testing positive for novel coronavirus. The cause of death was recorded as Covid-19 pneumonia and kidney failure.

The new fatalities have pushed the death toll to 332, the Government Information Department said.
According to reports, one of the victims is an 89-year-old woman from Walgammulla area. She has fallen victim to the virus at her home on February 02. The cause of death was recorded as a lung infection due to novel coronavirus.
Further, a 67-year-old woman has died at her home in Devalapola area on February 01. Lung infection, severe diabetes and epilepsy exacerbated by COVID-19 infection, the Government Information Department said further.
Meanwhile, a man (66) from Negombo area also died on February 02 while receiving treatment at the Mulleriyawa Base Hospital. He had been transferred from Negombo District Hospital after testing positive for the virus.

Director-General of Health Services has confirmed three more COVID-19 related fatalities in the country.
The new development has brought the death toll from the virus to 232, according to the Department of Government Information.
One of the victims was identified as a 62-year-old inmate who was incarcerated at the Negombo Prison. He was admitted to the Negombo Base Hospital and had passed away on Friday (January 08) after being transferred to the Mulleriyawa Base Hospital. The cause of death was cited as COVID-19 pneumonia.
In the meantime, an 80-year-old woman was residing in Colombo 14 fell victim to the virus today (January 10). She was under medical care at the Apeksha Hospital in Maharagama and was later transferred to the Pimbura Base Hospital. She has died of COVID-19 pneumonia and cancer.

Sri Lanka’s death toll from the coronavirus went up as two deaths were confirmed by the Department of Government Information a short while ago.
A 55-year-old male from Colombo 15 has died of COVID-19 related pneumonia. He had been diagnosed with coronavirus while receiving treatment at the National Hospital For Respiratory Diseases (NHRD) before being transferred to Pimbura Base Hospital and subsequently the Mulleriyawa Base Hospital. He had passed away on December 11.
Another male, aged 66 years and a resident of Imbulgoda, has died upon admittance to the Ragama Teaching Hospital. Reportedly, he had succumbed to severe diabetes and COVID-19 pneumonia on December 10.
