Ace Investor Ashish Kacholia has picked up a 1.9% stake in smallcap multibagger Tanfac Industries while Madhulika Agarwal, wife of Mukul Agrawal bought 1.80% in the company in the quarter ended December 31.
While money managers have sounded out a word of caution, stating that risk-reward remains unfavourable in several pockets of the smallcap segment, an analysis of the valuation based on the price-to-earnings ratio (P/E), suggested that there are still some multibaggers which are trading below their 5-year average.
Data crunching done by ETMarkets showed that 23 companies reported atleast a double-digit year-on-year (YoY) growth in both revenue and profits for three consecutive quarters. About seven of them have given multibagger returns year-to-date, and five of them have done that only in FY24.
