Published on: Saturday, July 24, 2021 By: Anthea Peter Text Size: Kota Kinabalu: Eateries in Sabah are now allowed to operate for an additional hour from 6am until 10pm, under Phase Two of the National Recovery Plan.  Sabah’s Covid-19 Spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun (pic) said this applies to restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, food trucks, stalls, roadside stalls, roadside and mobile hawkers, hawker centres, food courts and kiosks. “Bars, karaoke (KTV) and entertainment outlets are not classified under this category and thus are not allowed to operate,” said Masidi in a statement, Friday.  ADVERTISEMENT Under the revised Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) updated Thursday, dine-in activities are subjected to a maximum of two people per table and ordered meals must be sent directly to the customer’s table by staff.

Published on: Friday, July 23, 2021 By: Anthea Peter Text Size: Kota Kinabalu: Nearly 75 per cent of the one million vaccine doses allocated to Sabah for the month of July has been delivered to the State.  Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun (pic) said Sabah received 152,100 doses Wednesday afternoon and will receive another 30,000 doses today (Friday).  “The second bulk delivery of 308,880 doses is scheduled to arrive on July 28. As of July 21, the total number of vaccines delivered for July is 747,980 doses. ADVERTISEMENT “There has been good improvement in the delivery of vaccines from Kuala Lumpur (Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry) to the State,” he said in a statement, adding that Sabah’s total vaccine allocation for July is 1,086,760 doses.
