Brexit news - live: Johnson calls foreign aid row ‘lefty propaganda’, as threat of ‘sausage war’ draws closer Rory Sullivan

Boris Johnson has dismissed criticism about the UK’s reduced foreign aid budget as “lefty propaganda”.
Speaking at PMQs, the prime minister batted away suggestions that it was “inhumane” for ministers to have slashed international development funding at a time of global crisis.
The comment came in response to a question from Ian Blackford, the SNP’s leader at Westminster, who accused the government of being “on the run from their own legal and moral responsibilities”.
He added that Boris Johnson was the only world leader appearing at the G7 summit to have slashed their country’s foreign aid spending.
