NAB dismisses Saeed Ghani’s statement July 2, 2021 KARACHI/ SUKKUR: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) authorities have rejected the remarks of Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani regarding the bureau, saying the minister’s statement “is not only untrue, baseless and misleading, rather, it is an attempt to influence the cases of Pakistan People’s Party leaders Syed Khursheed Shah and Aijaz Jakhrani, which are under proceedings at accountability court.” The Sindh Education Minister, Saeed Ghani, on Thursday had criticised the NAB for attempting to arrest party leader Aijaz Jakhrani. The NAB press release said Ghani’s statement was “misleading the public about the NAB cases, proceedings at courts would be reviewed under Section 31 of the NAB Ordinance and the law will make its own way.”

Daily Times July 1, 2021 ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Thursday rejected the statement of Provincial Minister of Sindh Saeed Ghani and termed it an effort to influence the under trial cases against Syed Khursheed Shah and Ejaz Jakhrani. A spokesman of NAB has termed Ghani’s statement as contrary to the facts, baseless and misleading. The anti-graft watchdog has also decided to review the statement of Ghani in light of the NAB Ordinance, afterward, the law will take its course. The spokesman clarified that NAB has filed two references against Ejaz Jakhrani and Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh in accountability court Sukkur. It may be mentioned that the Sindh High Court had rejected the bail application of Ejaz Jakhrani on June 25, 2021.

Case lodged against 250 accused for attacking NAB team July 2, 2021 SUKKUR: The Civil Lines Police of Jacobabad on Thursday registered an FIR of the attack on a NAB team against 250 accused, including Zaffar Buriro, Khadim Bhutto, Waseem Jakhrani and others. It had gone to arrest Ejaz Jakhrani. SHO Muhammad Sharif Mahar said the NAB Sukkur had sent a letter for registering the FIR, but no NAB official visited the police station to register the case. He said a case was registered on the complaint of the State as no NAB official reached the police station.
