A DISTRAUGHT mum was in tears after rain leaked through a hole in the roof of her home, damaging her children s bedroom. Winsford mum-of-three Hannah Johns was shocked to see plaster board had been attached to the ceiling after workers came out to repair a leak in her roof two weeks ago. When it rained, she said water seeped through the gaps, drenching her three-year-old daughter s bed, damaging wallpaper and wetting the carpet. Hannah was in tears after rain leaked through a hole in the roof of her home, damaging her children s bedroom It has caused me a lot of upset, said Hannah, 27, of Bedford Rise. I couldn t stop crying. It is disgraceful that anyone should live in a state like that for five days with a leaking roof.

Chester cancer survivor Nathalie calls for campaign support | Chester and District Standard

Nathalie Rees, aged 50, is urging everyone to show solidarity with other people diagnosed with cancer. The Unity Band is available in three different colours – pink, navy and blue. It can be worn in memory of a loved one, to celebrate people who’ve overcome cancer or in support of those going through treatment. Every year, around 41,000 people are diagnosed with the disease in the North West. By donating or getting a Unity Band, people across the region will be raising money to help get life-saving research back on track after the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Cancer Research UK expects to see its fundraising income decline by a staggering £300 million over the next three years, which could put future breakthroughs at risk for people like Nathalie.
