"The result of all this is that the main street in Hawara is being emptied of Palestinians and made available only for Israeli settlers," said a resident and business owner in the besegied town.
"What happened in Hawara a few weeks ago was just an example of what can happen on a larger scale with a regular force of extremist settlers," said one Palestinian activist.
Israeli security forces watched as settlers threw stones and fired live bullets at Palestinian homes and property in Hawara, the town’s mayor said, after two Israeli soldiers were wounded in a shooting attack on Saturday.
