A source in the agency told SaharaReporters that Abdullahi violated a directive by President Muhammadu Buhari on probity and accountable handling of funds. He accused the NBAIS boss of defrauding the agency with illegal award of contracts to family members and close allies.

Islamic studies board releases 2020 examination result of 39,614 candidates

Analysis of the subjects show that 4,652 candidates attempted science subjects, 32,228 attempted arts, while 2,734 took tahfeez. Professor Abdullahi revealed that biology topped other subjects with 96.71% of pass followed by physics with 92.18% with 88.84% in chemistry, 80.25% in english, 79.31% in mathematics, 78.91% in Islamic studies and 78.29% in Arabic language. The acting Registrar commended stakeholders who ensured the successful conduct of the examination in the wake of the ravaging coronavirus pandemic in parts of the country.

NAOSS Commends Former Vice Chancellor Abubakre

The National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS) on Thursday held a public lecture in honour of Razaq Abubakre, a former Vice-Chancellor and Federal Commissioner. The virtual lecture had in attendance Prof. Abdul Rasheed Adeoye, Dean, Faculty of Arts of the university who delivered the keynote address, Academic Excellence: A trajectory to a successful life. Dr Alex Akanmu, Sub-dean, students affairs, delivered another lecture, Adaptation to the University community: prospects and challenges. Abubakre declared the event open after expressing pleasure and gratitude to NAOSS for convening the lecture. Earlier, the Association’s President, Adegoke Rahman Adetunji delivered a welcome address extolling the achievements of Abubakre and said that he was not only an asset to Osun but a national and global brand in academic scholarship and excellence in ethical leadership.
