Neelofa and hubby plead not guilty

SEREMBAN: Celebrity couple Neelofa and Muhammad Haris Mohd Ismail, who were compounded for SOP violation during their wedding, have pleaded not guilty at the Magistrate’s Court here to breaching the conditional movement control order. The couple, produced separately before magistrate Mahyun Yusof, pleaded not guilty to a charge of failing to scan their details via the MySejahtera application or register manually before entering a carpet shop located at the Nilai 3 Industrial Area at 4pm on May 2. Muhammad Haris, 26, was the first to be produced before Mahyun. Better known as PU Rizal, he also claimed trial to a second charge of failing to wear a face mask in a public place.

Published on: Friday, May 21, 2021 By: Bernama SEREMBAN: Entrepreneur and celebrity Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor and her husband, Muhammad Haris Mohd Ismail (pic), pleaded not guilty in the Magistrate’s Court here with violating standard operating procedures (SOPs) on the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) at a carpet shop early this month. The charges against them were read out before Magistrate Mahyun Yusoff. Muhammad Haris, 26 was charged with two counts of failing to comply with the CMCO SOP, which were for failing to wear the face mask and also scan the MySejahtera application or write his name in the registration book to check-in at Kedai Naeem Carpet Sdn Bhd,  Kawasan Perindustrian Nilai 3, Nilai,  at 4pm last May 2.

Noor Neelofa and her husband Muhammad Haris Mohd Ismail/BERNAMA SEREMBAN: Police have opened an investigation paper into allegations that entrepreneur and celebrity Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor did not wear a face mask when she arrived at the Seremban Court Complex for a proceeding, here, yesterday. Seremban district police chief ACP Mohd Said Ibrahim said the investigations were being carried out under Section 269 of the Penal Code (Act 574) and Regulation 17(1) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures within the Infected Local Areas) Regulations 2021. He said a police report has been lodged claiming that the 32-year-old celebrity did not comply with the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) standard operating procedures (SOPs) that apply to all, including those who wear niqab.
