  BEIJING, Apr.10(China Economic Net) - Pakistani Ambassador to China, Moin ul Haque, paid a visit on Wednesday to the prestigious Wuhan University and held a detailed interactive session with Pakistani students from various universities in Wuhan.    The Ambassador appreciated the resolve, determination, and resilience of Pakistani students in Wuhan and Hubei Province during COVID-19 pandemic. He especially lauded their volunteerism and care for others during the testing times. The Ambassador expressed his confidence that the students after studying in China, would contribute to the socio-economic development of Pakistan.     Haque also had a meeting with Prof. Tang Qizhu, Vice President of Wuhan University. The Ambassador and the Vice President discussed the expansion of current cooperation between Wuhan University and Pakistani universities and future collaboration, especially in science and technology, agriculture, and law.

Former PSM chairman among six acquitted in Rs81 million graft case Karachi February 28, 2021 After a seven-year-long trial, an accountability court on Saturday acquitted a former chairman of the Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) and five others in a Rs81 million corruption case. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had in 2014 filed a reference against former PSM chairman Moin Aftab Sheikh, former principal executive officer Brigadier (retd) Abdul Qayum, former deputy general managers Muhammad Farooq, Imtiaz-ul-Haq, Asghar Ali and Ateeq Khan, former food committee chairman Najamuddin Saho and three contractors, Zahid Ali, Muhammad Atique and Ali Haider, for allegedly colluding to award and obtain canteen contracts at exorbitant rates during 2008-09.
