China, Pakistan vow to work on Dasu Dam

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan and China have vowed to continue cooperating more closely to face any challenges together.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong visited Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi on Sunday.
The foreign minister inquired after the wellbeing of Chinese nationals injured in Dasu incident and wished them speedy recovery and assured them of all out support and medical care.
Ambassador Nong Rong said that China and Pakistan will continue to cooperate more closely to face any challenges together.
Earlier on arrival, Major General Muhammad Aleem, Commandant CMH, apprised visiting dignitaries about medical care being provided to the injured.

RAWALPINDI: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong visited Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi on Sunday to inquire after the Chinese nationals injured in the Dassu incident, and wished them a speedy recovery.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations, Qureshi assured the injured Chinese nationals of all-out support and medical care. Ambassador Nong said China and Pakistan will continue to cooperate more closely to face any challenges together.
Earlier on arrival, Commandant CMH Major General Muhammad Aleem apprised the visiting dignitaries of the medical care being provided to the injured.
ISLAMABAD, July 19 (Gwadar Pro) - Pakistan and China pledged to continue close cooperation as Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong visited the injured Chinese nationals at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) on Sunday afternoon.
Simultaneously, Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said that work on Dasu hydropower project would resume soon as both Pakistan and China remained committed to the timely completion of this project and others being undertaken with Chinese cooperation.
Commenting on a notification by the Chinese company, the spokesperson said: “The Chinese construction company, China Gezhouba Group Corporation (CGGC) through its latest notification has declared its previous notice, about contract termination of employment of Pakistani personnel working on Dasu Hydropower Project, null and void.”

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong visited on Sunday the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi to inquire about the Chinese nationals injured in the deadly Dasu bus incident, according to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Nine Chinese nationals and four Pakistani citizens were killed and more than two-dozen others sustained injuries on Wednesday morning, when a shuttle bus, they were travelling in, plunged into a deep ravine after an explosion on board.
