Telkom Kenya customers can make e-Citizen payments via T-kash

601 Telkom Kenya’s mobile money platform T-Kash has now been integrated as a payment option of Kenya’s government digital services platform, eCitizen. T-Kash customers will now be able to pay for both National and County government services that are found on the portal, said a statement from the integrated telecommunications provider in Kenya. “Financial services, partnerships, and digitisation form part of Telkom’s focus areas. In this strategic direction, Telkom seeks to enrich its financial services offering in response to the evolving digital lifestyle of the consumer, where convenience and simplicity are paramount,” it said. In order to pay using T-kash when transacting on eCitizen, users simply have to choose it at the checkout stage and follow on-screen prompts and instructions to complete making the payment.

Telkom customers can now pay for eCitizen services via T-Kash Shares Telkom’s financial services platform, T-Kash, has been incorporated into the government digital services platform, eCitizen. This integration with the eCitizen Portal will enable T-Kash customers to pay for National and County Government Services on the portal. T-Kash customers will be enabled to make digital payments for services offered by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Business Registration Service and Immigration Services. Other services include those offered by the Civil Registration Department, Office of the Attorney General, Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), National Construction Authority and other government agencies.

Telkom customers can now send money from T-kash to any network for free Shares Telkom customers can now use T-Kash, the telco’s digital financial services platform, to send money across local networks at no cost, for the next 60 days. Within the same period, customers will get an extra 25% worth of bonus airtime, whenever they purchase airtime via T-Kash. Telkom will also be rewarding its customers with data upon usage of T-Kash to pay bills. Payment of monthly utilities such as Nairobi Water, Kenya Power and to pay-TV platforms such as GoTV, Star Times and Zuku, have been mapped into this reward bracket.
