Francesca Strange, from east London, has always loved baking. From a young age she was surrounded by food lovers, and her Italian grandmother would often make cupcakes or baked Alaskas for local charities in Torquay, where Strange grew up. Alongside a career in music journalism, then as a PA and bringing up three children, Strange rekindled her passion as an adult, selling her creations at local markets now and then.
