like us, they want to read this thing too. and then figure out where they bo from there. again, i caution, mueller s net was narrow. he was asked to look at precisely one thing, which is russian interference in the 2016 election, and whoever may have assisted them or conspired with them. all of the other stuff that could impact the president and presidency will likely come out of the southern district of new york. and, frank, is there it s been described to me as a seeding. will you explain that? that other investigations have been seeded in other officers that donald trump and rudy giuliani and all of the lawyers that came before them have not spent 22 months assailing and attacking and impugning in the eyes of the public or at least in the eyes of the trump base? yeah, the planting or seeding of these tentacle cases that are out there is a strategic is both strategic and also simply a reflection of the beauty of our system.
than four years for somebody who was not a cooperator. the first point is that the judge never liked this case. so we should be clear that was clear throughout. this was not as surprising as i think some people were making it seem. the judge was always against the case. the other piece is that there is a real question of fairness and justice in this country in terms of sentences that white collar offenses get. i think a lot of people are raising those issues. some of that we see here. some of it we also see is really the judge thinking it s not the case the government thinks it is and i m not going to give them the sentence for the case that they thought it was. so or are people missing the mark? the president s campaign chairman is going to prison. that is significant in and of itself. yes. i think that it s important to look at the big picture here. we have seven people in trump s campaign who have now been caught in mueller s net who have
everybody else who will be caught in mueller s net will probably just turn on him. so the president is extremely concerned about these things. i don t think we can ever sort of underestimate the fact that he s looking at the polls. he s looking at the internal numbers. it looks like democrats may take the house. and if he thinks that manafort in this investigation is bad now, wait until the democrats in the house have oversight. we will be in trouble every single week. that s why he shouldn t be risking things with this subpoena right now because the democrats will give him no quarter if they take over the house. do you remain confident that robert mueller will prevail? i am very confident on that. just v. nixon said that no one is above the law, including the president and they allowed a subpoena for documents. there is no real difference between making the president turn over incriminating tapes and making the president
of the things that those around him have been involved in. jason, john brennan knows a thing or two about donald trump and he thinks he s frightened. he s terrified. he will wait on pins and needles for tomorrow morning and find out what happened to paul manafort. he realizes that not only does that mean that one of his closest advisors is now going to be going to jail but also that everybody else who will be caught in mueller s net will probably just turn on him. so the president is extremely concerned about these things. i don t think we can ever sort of underestimate the fact that he s looking at the polls. he s looking at the internal numbers. it looks like democrats may take the house. and if he thinks that manafort in this investigation is bad now, wait until the democrats in the house have oversight. we will be in trouble every single week. that s why he shouldn t be
think that trump continues to perceive himself as a teflon don? and he has to be nervous. his kids are in the firing line. mueller s net and the noose is tightening. i believe if it s not the mueller investigation it could be a criminal investigation involving the trump foundation that could bring him down. so, you know, trump should not be casual in terms of legal exposure. and then giuliani says he s going to prepare this report that s already halfway done to rebut mueller s find sngs well how do they know what mueller has already found because we don t even know what mueller knows. yeah. he s going to rebut a report that has not been released. exactly. and that he has not read. shows you how credible that report could be. but, erin, is the democrats in danger of getting so involved in the weeds that they miss the real issues that they need to energize their base? you talk about president trump s
