At the 90th celebration Snoxell said his favourite show to direct was Fiddler on the Roof. In 2018, by then retired from the theatre, he also told Stuff he had fond memories of directing The Sound of Music, the first production following the Regent s restoration after its closure since the early 1990s. Snoxell grew up in Grantham, Lincolnshire, England, which was frequently bombed during The Blitz during World War II.
