Rhodes wore a very handsome gown of black satin with smart touches of blue; the Hon. Mrs Tahu Rhodes wore a really charming frock of grey satin and gold lace; and Mrs Hutton’s becoming frock was of pink satin, trimmed with ivory lace and iridescent sequins. Spirited music was supplied by Miss Macdonald’s orchestra.”
