When Jennifer Lockley was growing up, she saw her mother Irene (pictured) floor a man with the flick of her wrist and later learnt she had been part of a top-secret unit during World War II.
Jennifer Zoe Key, of Downside, was pronounced dead on August 18, 2019. An inquest at the Isle of Wight Coroner’s Court heard the 69-year-old had been found in the sea. A statement from Mrs Key s GP painted the picture of someone with a number of mental health issues, anxiety and depression. She had long been suffering from pain in her sinuses and ears, and had overdosed on medication on four previous occasions. Her GP said she had intrusive thoughts of walking into the sea. Mrs Key s neighbour saw her the evening before, walking toward Down Lane in the dark, and noted how unusual it was for her to be out at such a time. The next day she became aware her neighbour was missing.
