NDC in Diasporas Demand Forensic Audit of Elections or Mahama be Declared the President.

Ghanaians went to the polls on 7 December 2020 to elect their President and their Parliamentarians for the 8
th time since its Republic in 1992. Although both parliamentary and presidential elections were peaceful, albeit some few complaints, the end result has been disastrous that demands condemnation in no certain terms. We in Diasporas have received videos and numerous evidences and witnesses’ testimony showing that the supporters of incumbent government stuffing already casted ballot papers in favour of their candidates. We also believe that the collation, transmission and declaration of results by the electoral officers and returning officers were not transparent, rather very dubious and flawed. These nefarious and deliberate collaborations planned by the incumbent government and supported by the Electoral Commission led by Mrs Jean Mensah have marred otherwis

Some NDC women demonstrate in Kumasi
Some women, mostly from the Asawase Constituency of the NDC on Tuesday marched through some principal streets in Kumasi to protest against the declaration of President Akufo-Addo, as the winner of the 2020 presidential elections, by the Electoral Commission (EC). The women clad in red attire and armed bands, carried placards some of which read, ‘women arise for justice’, ‘enough of the killings’, ‘for Ghana we will not rest’, ‘we want justice’, ‘stolen verdict’, among others. The women who wanted to storm the Ashanti Regional Offices of the EC were, however, prevented from entering the premises by the police.
Indeed, any throat-slasher dreads of lying flat on their back
A very popular Akan proverb to cast insinuation at a wicked person who turns around to protest against a perceived harm about to be inflicted on him by others, goes thus, Atwitwa mmene biara suro ayeya nda . Literally translated into English as, Any throat-slasher dreads of lying flat on their back . It is mostly when you lie flat on your back with your throat facing up that a throat-slasher can easily slash it with a stroke of his sharp knife or cutlass/machete, hence such expert murderers always avoiding sleeping in that position, so the adage imports.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Women’s wing has embarked on a demonstration to reaffirm its rejection of the presidential election results as declared by the EC Chairperson, Mrs Jean Mensah, on December 9.
The demonstration was spearheaded by the Party’s National Women’s Organiser, Madam Hanna Louisa Bisiw, to show the determination of the women to fight to ensure the EC rescinded its decision.
Madam Bisiw, speaking during the demonstration at the Party’s Headquarters, said the Commission should do the right thing by rescinding the declaration.
She said the figures, based on which Nana Akufo-Addo was declared the president-elect, were inaccurate and urged the Commission to use the right figures, which would show that John Mahama was the winner of the election.
