Ormsgill Primary School and Magic Breakfast have been praised for providing schoolchildren with their first meal of the day by a Barrow councillor. For five years, the charity and primary school have teamed up to provide pupils with food like cereal, bagels and fruit juice before starting class. Prior to the closure of schools, Dawn Hubbold, assistant headteacher at Ormsgill Primary School, highlighted that between 60 to 70 pupils would attend the breakfast club every day. Furthermore, Mrs Hubbold continued by underlining the improvement they’ve noticed in the pupils. She said: “The children love it, because they come in and have some social time before starting school.
