To relocate asylum seekers to Rwanda, the United Kingdom has reportedly paid the East African country £100 million this year as part of the deal. The payment was made in April, according to the Home Office's top civil servant, Sir Matthew Rycroft, in a letter to MPs. Meanwhile, £140 million had already been sent to the African country. According to BBC, Rycroft said another payment of £50m was expected next year as part of the deal.
