A year after bushfires destroyed 1.5 million hectares in Victoria, many people who lost their homes and belongings are enduring another summer in makeshift accommodation.
The fires in Gippsland and the state s north-east destroyed 458 homes, and in the aftermath about 30 families moved into short-term modular housing.
Some are in the process of building new homes, but the majority are still months away from seeing construction start.
Buchan farmers Margie and Jeff McCole say the process of rebuilding their home has been frustrating.
