The Commissioner, Lagos State Ministry of Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, has urged teachers in the state to always translate new learning into teaching and classroom activities.
Adefisayo, who spoke at the unveiling of the Casio Mathematics and Science Training Centre located at the Education Resource Centre, Ojodu Berger, Lagos, explained that the lab would empower the teachers with skills needed for better teaching of Maths and other Science subjects saying that teachers should ensure they passed on everything they would be taught into teaching.
The Casio Mathematics and Science Training Centre was donated to the Lagos State Ministry of Education, ERC, by SKLD Integrated Services in partnership with Casio.

AS part of the efforts to encourage more enrolment of school-age children to promote the growth of education, reduce child abuse and other related cases, the Lagos State government has expressed its readiness to build more schools to make education more accessible to the people.
The state Commissioner for Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, disclosed this during a meeting with the Chief Resilience Officer (CRO), Lagos State Resilience Office (LASRO), Gbolahan Owodunni Oki and the Chairman, Itire/Ikate Local Council Development Area, Dr Ahmed Olanrewaju Apatira at Ikeja on the proposal for the establishment of Itire/Ikate Model College.
The commissioner also hinted that special provision has been for additional schools in the Y2021 budget, while existing school infrastructure would be constantly upgraded to make the teaching and learning environment more conducive.

Lagos State government has expressed its readiness to build more schools to make education more accessible to the people as part of efforts to encourage more enrolment of school-age children, promote the growth of education, reduce child abuse and other related cases.

Lagos State government has reaffirmed a strong commitment to digital transformation of its various schools from primary to the university level.
The Executive Chairman of Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), Mr Wahab Alawiye–King, said this at a meeting with the representatives of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), at LASUBEB office in Maryland, Ikeja.
KOICA has extended partnership with the agency in the deployment of state- of-the-art information communication technology (ICT) facilities to a model school under construction and being funded by the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) at Iworo-Ajido in Badagry area of the state.
Besides, it has given an indication that it will train teachers of the school on effective use of the equipment and the online portal to be created.

The Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board in collaboration with the Universal Basic Education Commission has partnered with Korea International Cooperation Agency and Artswax Communications to improve the quality of teaching and learning in the state.
KOICA partnership entails the deployment of state of the art equipment, capacity building for teachers, provision of technical expertise and online portal in the UBEC Model School undergoing construction at Iworo-Ajido, Badagry, Lagos State.
Speaking at a meeting held at LASUBEB Hall, Maryland, Ikeja, the Executive Chairman, Mr Wahab Alawiye–King, said the project was a prototype model school initiated by UBEC under the FGN/UBEC direct intervention.
