A FULL survey of a community centre believed to be responsible for exposing a dance teacher to asbestos has been commissioned. As reported, Katrina Jane Earley, 59, died on February 2, 2020, a little less than five years after first being diagnosed with mesothelioma, a cancer caused by the exposure to asbestos. Mrs Earley had run a popular dance school at the Beaufort Community Centre, in Beaufort Road, since 1993. And her inquest, held in November last year, heard how she had been exposed to asbestos, with the community manager asking her to move out the hall temporarily after finding asbestos.
