A FAMILY owned timber company has expanded into Clitheroe, creating new jobs which the company hopes can be filled by local people. The new site in Twin Brooks Business Park is the third to be opened by Longridge Timber, which already has branches in Longridge and Preston. The company is owned by married couple John and Sue Cornthwaite, who worked with commercial law firm Napthens to open the new Clitheroe site. Mr Cornthwaite said: “I’ve worked with Napthens for my entire business life and from day one they’ve demonstrated a clear understanding of our business and the way we like to operate.
