Carnival Cruise Line took another big leap forward toward its restart of operations on Friday, when it announced that it had received approval to restart out of three U.S. cruise ports.
Carnival scored the okay from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for its Phase 2A Port Agreements with PortMIami, Port of Galveston, and Port Canaveral, the first three homeports that Carnival expects to employ for its return.
The agreements are key for Carnival’s full approval to restart as the CDC is requiring cruise lines to have agreements in place to support additional health protocols. Carnival had to secure the agreements prior to announcing test cruises or full operations.
Carnival Corporation on Friday announced it has received U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention’s (CDC) acceptance of its Phase 2A Port Agreements for PortMiami, Port of Galveston, and Port Canaveral.
