Rustenburg mayor Mpho Khunou’s lawyers will today seek to overturn the order in the Tlhabane magistrate’s court that was obtained by his former colleague Sinah Makgatlha, 35, who further claimed they were in a romantic relationship, but he has denied this.

NW MEC responds to shutdown accusations

───   LUCKY NKUYANE 15:20 Fri, 11 Dec 2020 The North West MEC for Arts, Culture, Sport and Recreation has reacted to the accusations by the Rustenburg Local Municipality. On Tuesday, the municipality accused two officials from the office of MEC Tlhapi Galebekwe of being involved in a plan to disrupt services by staging a shutdown. In Galebekwe s response to the accusation made by the municipality, the MEC tells OFM News that she is not even aware of the so-called Rustenburg shutdown and does not know what is the motive behind the scathing statement. Galebekwe adds that she, in consultation with the relevant authorities and the African National Congress (ANC), will obtain a suitable solution to the matter.
