After sending Mzuzu Warriors packing from the FDH Bank Cup on Saturday, Ntopwa Football Club, The Amaghetto Kids, shared a point each with Moyale Barracks in the TNM Super League on Sunday at Mzuzu Stadium.
Right from the first whistle, it was the home side, Moyale Barracks, that settled into the game very quickly and knocked the ball around with purpose, looking dangerous when they attacked but the defence for the visitors was able to neutralise the fierce attacks.
But when the Amaghetto Kids went forward after 10 minutes, their counter-attack resulted in their captain Mphatso Magaleta being brought down in the 18-metre area and referee Lackson Chunda awarded them a penalty. Hendrix Misinde sent goalkeeper MacDonald Harawa the wrong way.
Woes rocking Mzuzu Warriors Football Club were also portrayed in an FDH Bank Cup game on Saturday, just as has been the case in the super league.
The Warriors are second from the bottom on the TNM Super League log table with only 15 points from 22 games.

Their league poor run of form was replicated in a cup game at Mzuzu Stadium on Saturday as they were booted out of the FDH Bank Cup Round of 32 by visiting Ntopwa Football Club which are anchoring the league table.
The Warriors conceded three goals at home without any reply. Levison Chabwera scored the first goal for Ntopwa after 20 minutes. Mphatso Magaleta put his name on the score sheet after 70 minutes before claiming a brace 3 minutes before the final whistle.

Newly recruited and first ever female coach in the TNM Super League, Karen Chaula, has started her job with no luck as her side Ntopwa Football Club registered two back-to-back losses in Karonga over the weekend.

Chaula was roped in as head coach for the Amaghetto Kids two weeks ago and her first game in charge was against Chitipa United on Saturday at Karonga Stadium. Ntopwa FC lost 2-0 with goals coming from dread rocked Emmanuel Muyira and Gule Mwaluswa.
It is a tour started on a bad note by Ntopwa Football Club (The Amagetto Kids) in the northern region as they were silenced with a 1-2 loss at the hands of hosts Mzuzu Warriors on Saturday at Mzuzu Stadium in the TNM Super League.
Both sides were coming into this encounter after a string of miserable losses with the Warriors conspicuously at the very bottom of the log table.
The win by Mzuzu Warriors on Saturday is so significant as it has magically lifted them from bottom of the table to position 15 with 10 points now, from a total of 13 games. Mighty Tigers are now at the bottom with 9 points, also from 13 games but they face in form Silver Strikers this Sunday.
Mighty Wanderers came from behind to beat Ntopwa FC 4-1 on Wednesday at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

Following the win, the Nomads have moved two places up to eight in the TNM Super League as they now have 16 points from 11 matches, eight points adrift of Civo United, who have played a game more.
Ntopwa gave the Lali Lubani Road outfit a scare when they first scored just after 30 minutes into the game through Hendrix Misinde.
