PANAMA CITY BEACH The Florida Department of Transportation hopes a new set of traffic lights will improve vehicle and pedestrian safety at a dangerous intersection on the Beach.
Located at the crossing of Front Beach Road and Moylan Road near Cobra Adventure Park, the signals are already installed and will become operational on Wednesday, according to Ian Satter, FDOT district spokesman. The new signal will provide a designated crossing for pedestrians and is part of FDOT s larger efforts to examine and develop short-term and long-term solutions to enhance pedestrian safety, Satter wrote in an email.
