Vaccination clinic to open at Devonshire Mall, 2 other Windsor sites to close
Windsor is getting a new COVID-19 vaccination site as of next month, as officials make plans to close two existing sites.

According to the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit, which released a multi-day total due to the Victoria Day holiday, 34 new cases were reported on Monday and 16 on Tuesday.

As with previous categories, it’s recommended that those seeking local vaccinations book their appointments through the dedicated regional website, wevax.ca.
Those who don’t have online means can call the booking hotline 226-773-2200 although multiple attempts may be needed due to high call volumes. Hotline hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the weekend.
Dr. Wajid Ahmed, Medical Officer of Health, estimated that the expansion of criteria means roughly 20,000 to 30,000 more people in the region are now able to receive the vaccine at the region’s six targeted clinic sites.
