The Moving Ontarians More Safely Act, also known as the MOMS Act, was announced earlier in the year, and is meant to make roads safer for all Ontarians. There are several new laws â most of which affect serious speeders â but other parts of the Act are aiming to improve safety for pedestrians, road workers, and cyclists.

Officers out enforcing the new rules brought the hammer down on a little blast from the not-so-distant past â a Smart Car, of all things â which was caught doing a foolish 94 km/h in a 50 km/h zone first thing in the morning on July 1.
