All in together is thrilled to host tonights special virtueing town hall in partnership with the lbj foundation, the george and Barbara Bush Foundation, the Ronald Reagan library, the National Archives and the 19th. Sworn into the house on april 2, 1917. The house has come into special session, extraordinary session because the president delivers a message to congress, asking for a declaration of war against germany as the u. S. Entry into world war i. , rankint vote is held is one of a group of about 50 members who vote against u. S. Intervention in world war i. She served a term in the house. It was on the womens suffrage community. Committee. She was on the public lands committee. That was an important assignment for a woman from montana with so much of the land being held by the federal government. It was an important position. Teaching history in finding all the objects, we had about 124 objects, and which there are 63 portraits and i was hoping to commemorate the 19th amendment until the history of the 19th amendment and how women, lobbyist get this amendment passed and ratified, but also asked questions about it and ask what does it do, what doesnt not do and why 1965 in the Voting Rights act is considered another part two of the 19 the moment, so if you follow me ill take you through the exposition and show you a few of the objects the tell the history, lets go.
