end. neil: so this idea that the russian soldiers are sort of being moved around towards western ukraine, other points, is it just to confuse ukrainians, to confuse us? in western ukraine, there was a couple of attacks on air fields. they haven t seen much activity in that part of the country. by and large in terms of ground forces, they re all located in the eastern half of the country in the south coming infrom crimea. we assess that they have made progress in getting closer to kyiv. some of those advance elements by the airport to the northwest of the city did move a little further down the road. they are being now backed up by some follow-on forces that are sort of filling in to their spots. so they re making some progress. clearly, you can see it yourself, the shelling and the
