Contrary to claims by Coventry City chairman Bryan Richardson that Town had put a firm bid in for Moustapha Hadji reports now suggest that no bid has been made. A statement from Coventry said that Town and Villa were vying for the Moroccan with Villa the favourites to sign him.
Reports in the Birmingham press today suggest that Villa s current bid for Moustapha Hadji is likely to fail. Villa are reported to have offered £1 million plus Julian Joachim, whereas Coventry are said to want £3 million plus the Villa striker. £4 million seems to be the quoted value of Hadji.
