[인사이트] 김나영 기자 = 긴 꼬리를 늘어뜨린 쥐가 징그럽다(?)는 편견을 한방에 깨트려 줄 사진이 포착됐다.
지난 18일(현지 시간) 온라인 미디어 bomb01은 다 성장한 키가 5.5cm 에 불과한 세상에서 가장 작은 멧밭쥐 를 사진과 함께 소개했다.
세상에서 가장 작은 설치류로 꼽히는 멧밭쥐 는 몸무게가 고작 7g 밖에 나가지 않아 민들레 홀씨 속에 몸을 다 숨길 만큼 작은 몸집을 가졌다.
실제로 사진작가 딘 메이슨(Dean Mason)이 촬영한 사진 속에는 조그만 몸집을 이용해 민들레 홀씨 안에 숨어든 멧밭쥐의 모습이 담겨 귀여움을 자아낸다.
