Its our top story at 5 oclock. Nathan oneal is joining us live. With that clean up. But nathan, its still under way. And weve learned that eight homes in the community have been tested and cleared of mercury co of the epa Emergency Response team. They are still at the school at this hour and they plan to test even more homes this weekend. [inaudible] examination with the realtime Mercury Vapor analyzer. Itll determine very quickly if theres any mercury in the homes and what were finding is the homes are safe. Reporter a mercury scare has turned the junior high upside down. Screened and cleared after it was discovered they were expose ed to a small amount of mercury. Investigators, though, are still concerned because prolonged expo sure to mercury is unsafe. And they still havent found the source.
