Students build hand-sanitizing stations for local businesses

Marie Godderis/Town Crier A hands-free hand-sanitizing station stand built by the Mountain View High School Creator Club sits at the entrance to Cranberry Scoop in downtown Los Altos. The pandemic didn’t put a halt to Creator Club leaders Marika Ragnartz and Josie Penix’s drive to creatively engineer solutions for their community. The Mountain View High School juniors recently built hands-free hand sanitizing stations for local businesses and included their fellow club members in the process by creating kits for them to build from home. Ragnartz and Penix were first exposed to a collaborative and hands-on environment through an engineering course, which led them to join the Creator Club.
