ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. Detectives have released the name of a woman who was fatally shot last week at an apartment complex in Southeast Albuquerque.
Gilbert Gallegos, an Albuquerque police spokesman, identified the victim as 24-year-old Edmmy Bautista-Carrera.
On Dec. 9 officers responded around 7:20 p.m. to reports of gunfire and a woman injured in the parking lot of the Mountain View Apartments in the 1500 block of Columbia SE, near Kathryn.
As police arrived to the scene, Bautista-Carrera was brought into the University of New Mexico Hospital where she died.
