The first will cost $1.9 million to deliver internet access to more than 375 homes and businesses in the community of Mount Wolfe.

While already prevalent before the pandemic began, food insecurity in Toronto has only worsened as a result of COVID-19  particularly in neighbourhoods where vulnerable residents have been disproportionately affected by loss of income and the virus and community organizations all over the city have been stepping up to help those in need.  In St. James Town, for example, one of the most dense and diverse neighbourhoods in all of Canada, residents have been struggling with food insecurity for years, and the pandemic has only exacerbated the issue.
