She feared she was going to be deported because her boyfriend victor apple had been arrested days before on immigration charges. Sadly, officers would return about four hours later to a heartbreaking and gruesome scene after she called 911 saying she had drowned her two children. She was pretty matter of fact her admission that the two children were dead. Our officers discovered them in the back bathtub. According to court papers she dropped the four month old in the tub, turned on the water and left him on his back as the tub filled. Reporter the conditions are good this morning. Cool temperatures, no winds, because otherwise, firefighters have a lot working against them. This is prime fire season. The fuel is drive and accessibility around here is near impossible. This fire started monday night when a building caught fire near Bear Creek Canyon road and deer creek road in Boulder Creek. Its 5 contained. It burned about 300 acres and four buildings. Not sure how many of those are homes. The fire is burning in steep terrain, dry fuel, leaves and brush. A lot of the strategy is to fight the fire from the sky with water drops and fire retardant. 150 homes are under evacuation orders today. We thought it was heading to new orleans and it made a right hand turn. Hurricane sally is not to be taken for granted. We are looking at record flooding, perhaps breaking historic levels.
