It has been a Biggest Issue in fremont for months, the homeless shelter they need but no one seems to want in their neighborhood the protests, Public Comment, discussion and debate all led to tonight vote on the Navigation Center, the city had previously narrowed it down to a pair of possible locations, one in the dakota neighborhood and the other behind city hall. Ashley smith is at the meeting, where big crowds have gathered. This is what it looks like, dozens of people are still here, unable to get inside. More than 250 people signed up to speak tonight, this issue has brought a lot of passion and division. And a lot of people arent going to be happy. At fremont city hall, a lot of people are upset over the homeless Navigation Center. City leaders decided to build the supervised facility at the city hall parking lot or on this road.
