When she was 11, she was diagnosed with colitis, and doctors told her that she was high risk of getting cancer. Since her diagnosis was terminal she decided she was going to take whatever time she has left and live it to the fullest. Now i know where i stand on life. So im going to enjoy the Little Things i used to and try not to worry too much. Because, you know, its progressing, this is it. This is what it is. She talks about valuing the Little Things. Valuing time with your family. Theyre creating a memory box. Theyre leaving a piece of her hair in there. Notes. Different things that help people remember who she was. Even videos. Dorothy spencer has more. Reporter that is right, were here in the northwest part of the district, still a very active scene into the investigation. From what we understand the shooting unfolded right here in the parking lot on the cvs corner. And if you look down just beside the building there is additional activity. We can see officers and police cars and what i would describe as a little alley back there. Were not sure exactly what happened back there. But still, a lot of police on scene even at this hour, we can show you the video and see a lot of evidence markers here in the parking lot. We can see a shoe, and different casings out here as well as shattered glass. What we have been able to confirm from d. C. Police, what they have confirmed is that an off duty officer was somehow involved in this we understand that two people were shot. These were men, were shot out here in the parking lot.
