GREENSTONE – OPP have arrested a Mount Pearl Newfoundland man and charged him with drug charges following a traffic stop on Highway 11 on Tuesday, December 15, 2020.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on a westbound tractor trailer on Highway 11 for a Highway Traffic Act offence. The officer’s investigation revealed the driver was prohibited from operating a motor vehicle pursuant to a judicial release order. Through further investigation a quantity of cannabis was located and seized.
As a result a 53-year-old from Mount Pearl, Newfoundland was arrested and charged with the following offences:
Possession of over 30 grams of dried cannabis contrary to section 8(1)(a) of the Cannabis Act
