The Mount Hermon Water District of Washington Parish said about 50 homes are affected.The areas impacted are on Highway 1055 from Highway 38 to the Randolph Morris Road, and Bill Creel Road to Esco Alford Road. Officials said this is due to a water main break caused by lightning.Official expect the advisory to be in effect until 5 p.m. Wednesday. Until then, residents should bring water to a full rolling boil before consuming or opt for bottled water.
